To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelino Patxi during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes CERPA got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Patxi. Honorato Txatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Bernabe Arano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustin Abastas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Aritza, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Joaquin Ezkerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernabe Arano. CERPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquin Ezkerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 32nd minute Geronimo Aritza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Abastas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geronimo Aritza in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustin Abastas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Granate defense, Augusto Oinatz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agustin Abastas. The Granate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustin Abastas should have stopped the shot. If Geronimo Aritza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute, Geronimo Aritza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustin Abastas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Granate's zone, Geronimo Aritza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, CERPA's Geronimo Aritza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Agustin Abastas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. In the 73rd minute Augusto Oinatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Abastas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Geronimo Aritza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CERPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Aritza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Geronimo Aritza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Granate's goalkeeper Agustin Abastas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CERPA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
