In the 10th minute Leonides Asteri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Son Downs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Bairoletto FC got a corner. Saturno's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severiano Guib could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Pascual Demario made a huge save. A collision led to Bairoletto FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Florentino Leheren hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bairoletto FC's Leo Arias got a free kick in the 26th minute. Saturno's Paolo Ugaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aquiles Bartolome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 33 minutes into the match, Edgardo Santo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Saturno's Son Downs. Son Downs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgardo Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Son Downs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paolo Ugaitz's late challenge caught a Bairoletto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Ugaitz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Saturno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Ugaitz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Saturno defense, Edgardo Santo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Son Downs. The Saturno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Son Downs should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leonides Asteri made the kick off in the second half. After 72 minutes of play Saturno's Filomeno Odol was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 73rd match minute, Saturno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Odol to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Leonides Asteri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
