Jan-Ove Vesterberg came out of the goal and Marshall Valenzuela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. IFK Stockholm's Jan-Ove Vesterberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Stockholm from getting a goal against them. Frances Grossman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jan-Ove Vesterberg made a huge save. Blake Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Kvarnström, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Fritz Dahlkvist came free, but Blake Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frances Grossman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jan-Ove Vesterberg made a huge save. Anton Kvarnström hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, IFK Stockholm's Magne Högström got a free kick in the 24th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frances Grossman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 70th minute IFK Stockholm were awarded a corner. Anton Kvarnström went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on IFK Stockholm's corner Anton Kvarnström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Blake Vogt quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Kvarnström in the 73rd minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Blake Vogt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Vancouver Reds supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching IFK Stockholm's performance. The match ended with a win for IFK Stockholm.
