Eugenio Baudelio started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Kirstein Luvard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prospero Valente was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 6th minute Eugenio Baudelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Sæmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sindre Walle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Valente having to interfere. A collision led to Lyons getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Severino Iruinea hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Boutrup came free, but Prospero Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirstein Luvard, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Kirstein Luvard came free, but Prospero Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl Hermer charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl Hermer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, one of FC Nordsjælland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Nordsjælland. After a defensive mix-up in Lyons's zone, Sindre Walle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Valente came out of the goal and Sindre Walle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prospero Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sindre Walle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th match minute, Lyons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Ramond to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sindre Walle to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, FC Nordsjælland's Anders Boutrup ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Prospero Valente. Prospero Valente yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Sindre Walle scored 1-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Valente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Prospero Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Boutrup in the 64th minute of play. If Sindre Walle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Henning Sæmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Baudelio in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Nordsjælland's zone, Adan Ramond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Sæmer came out of the goal and Adan Ramond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adan Ramond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Henning Sæmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Kirstein Luvard lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Prospero Valente. Frede Holts kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Frede Holts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clodoveo Llanos charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clodoveo Llanos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Clodoveo Llanos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 minutes of play, Lyons's Severino Iruinea made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henning Sæmer was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Nordsjælland had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
