Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Lyons's Marco Quirze started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the game, Lyons's Victoriano Ferran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raymond Hartman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Raymond Hartman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Ferran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Quirze took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raymond Hartman. Raymond Hartman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Fly T.T's Myles Berger in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lyons's goalie prevented a goal. After 22 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Sol. In the 23rd minute, Myles Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demetrius Miller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Clodoveo Llanos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyons's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Llanos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymond Hartman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Fly T.T's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Iruinea came free, but Raymond Hartman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Frascuelo. Myles Berger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Prospero Valente came out and tried to block the shot, but Myles Berger slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute Rene Pelagius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Hartman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Lyons were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Myles Berger to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Fly T.T's Raymond Hartman got control of the ball when Victoriano Ferran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Humberto Gorman struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Prospero Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fly T.T. Prospero Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Myles Berger in the 60th minute of the match. Melquiades Frascuelo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Severino Iruinea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Raymond Hartman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Arnaud Lachapelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Fly T.T's Raymond Hartman got control of the ball when Clodoveo Llanos tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Myles Berger in the 81st minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Prospero Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Lyons's Severino Iruinea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raymond Hartman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severino Iruinea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Raymond Hartman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospero Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Gorman, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes, Victoriano Ferran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lyons and the Fly T.T players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fly T.T booed when Lyons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Ferran didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lyons had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
