Rudy Duchateau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Tönnberg in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Ernst Melkval got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, spikarna's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph Neels came free, but Samuel Enström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, spikarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Fredriksson to maneuver through the defense. spikarna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vidar Bjurström in the 20th minute. A nice corner shot did that Bernt Martinsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rudy Duchateau quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 23 minutes, Erwin-Alexander Beckers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erwin-Alexander Beckers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Joseph Neels left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bruly fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Rudy Duchateau made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Kent Fredriksson sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of spikarna booed when Bruly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo De Geest didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Kent Fredriksson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudy Duchateau. Bruly's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kent Fredriksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half Bruly were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Nordström made a kick off. Joseph Neels hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Kent Fredriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. spikarna's Tommy Strömbom was substituted for Jonas Nordström. Kent Fredriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of spikarna booed when Bruly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo De Geest didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudy Duchateau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Tönnberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bruly's goalkeeper Rudy Duchateau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rudy Duchateau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, spikarna's Kent Fredriksson got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Karel-Jan Van Eyck hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, spikarna's Kent Fredriksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudy Duchateau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
