With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Sobre in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zak Lloyd saved The Tigers from getting behind. Guerrero Marva came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by The Tigers's Ionuț Mureșan. But to his dismay, Ionuț Mureșan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With an all-out effort, Barcelona de América's Zak Lloyd threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Xacobo Isern, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Barcelona de América booed when The Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregory Rawson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goalkeeper Zak Lloyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulises Casanande. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Mureșan in the 44th minute of play forced Barcelona de América's goalkeeper Guerrero Marva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Barcelona de América's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Mureșan came free, but Guerrero Marva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ionuț Mureșan made the kick off in the second half. Valentin Criado struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Guerrero Marva made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Frazer Heath sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Farrell during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th match minute, The Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Farrell to maneuver through the defense.
