In the 8thth minute of the game Flavio Maciel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Devoto club social's Tomás Bertran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Devoto club social booed when THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Devoto club social's Paulo Henrico got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Flavio Maciel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Bertran skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Olívio Viana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tomás Bertran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomás Bertran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio Maciel went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Marcinho Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcinho Donato in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Bertran saved Devoto club social from getting behind. Flavio Maciel struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Tomás Bertran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ. In the 44th minute, Fermin Tauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Gasteiz was the one to do the kick off. Perivaldo Nóbrega's late challenge caught a Devoto club social's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Donato couldn't finish the play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
