An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Intxixu in the 20th minute of play forced Devoto club social's goalkeeper Tomás Bertran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Magallanes's Romeo Confesor got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Intxixu got free with Tomás Bertran in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuel Gasteiz struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Leon Oliverio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Devoto club social. Alonzo Romano hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Inocencio Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Intxixu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute Prospero Guifre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Bertran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Bertran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Intxixu in the 95th minute of the match.
