It was a penalty for Pogoń Staszów! The goalkeeper, Tobiasz Debkowski, was totally fooled by Jagiellonia Denver's Odilon Hodges, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Gilbert Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Tobiasz Debkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pogoń Staszów's Tobiasz Debkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Thacker in the 15th minute of play. Cyprian Nieruchliwy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Odilon Hodges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Tobiasz Debkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pogoń Staszów getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tomasz Gotfryd hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Pogoń Staszów defense, Reynaldo Thacker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobiasz Debkowski. The Pogoń Staszów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobiasz Debkowski should have stopped the shot. Pogoń Staszów's Wawrzyniec Borkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute Waldemar Siwek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Gaston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Hoyt Dove left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jagiellonia Denver fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Tobiasz Debkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Thacker in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match Jagiellonia Denver got a corner. Pogoń Staszów's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Odilon Hodges ran over to the corner to take the kick. Odilon Hodges made a great header on Jagiellonia Denver's corner, it was just that Pogoń Staszów's Tobiasz Debkowski managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 47th minute Hoyt Dove shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobiasz Debkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilbert Pena in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobiasz Debkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the match, Pogoń Staszów's goal looked a bit too open when Hoyt Dove came free, but Tobiasz Debkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Pena in the 65th minute of play forced Pogoń Staszów's goalkeeper Tobiasz Debkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Cyprian Nieruchliwy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pogoń Staszów's supporters rose to their feet, but Cyprian Nieruchliwy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andy Gaston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 86 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Thacker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Tobiasz Debkowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, Odilon Hodges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 93 minutes, Cyprian Nieruchliwy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pogoń Staszów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyprian Nieruchliwy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andy Gaston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Siwek in the 96th minute of play. Jagiellonia Denver's Andy Gaston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Siwek in the 98th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pogoń Staszów players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jagiellonia Denver.
