When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Flavio Maciel sped through Club Atlético Magallanes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leon Oliverio. Leon Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcinho Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximo Joanes thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Leon Oliverio, a very annoying self made goal in the 27th minute which led to 0-2. When Lorenzo Tonete came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Club Atlético Magallanes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Tonete couldn't finish the play. Club Atlético Magallanes's Abelardo Intxixu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 33rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Armando Siqueira was a little too slow when Abelardo Intxixu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 2-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Intxixu was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Club Atlético Magallanes got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Confesor. Armando Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Intxixu in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marcinho Donato hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Flavio Maciel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Oliverio was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Flavio Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Oliverio having to interfere. The supporters of THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ booed when Club Atlético Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Cordeal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Abelardo Intxixu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Siqueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Flavio Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Club Atlético Magallanes getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Alberto Cordeal hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Flavio Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Oliverio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper Leon Oliverio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcinho Donato. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Magallanes's Lorenzo Tonete got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
