A well done corner resulted in Honorato Normando drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Devoto club social's goalkeeper. 21 minutes into the match, Honorato Normando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Bertran. Devoto club social's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honorato Normando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 27 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Justo Dunixi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Henrico. Tomás Bertran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Ubelteso in the 30th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Devoto club social's Fermin Tauro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Justo Dunixi. That made the score 1-3 after 33 minutes of play. Honorato Normando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Devoto club social's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Normando came free, but Tomás Bertran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Honorato Normando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Bertran was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Honorato Normando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Bertran was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mart Palermo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Honorato Normando showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Tomás Bertran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Silvino in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Marciano Ubelteso managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Potrero's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Ubelteso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Bertran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Devoto club social's Carolo Gaspard got a free kick in the 76th minute. C. A. Potrero's Justo Dunixi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mart Palermo in the 87th minute of play. Santiago Silvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Bertran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Mariano Balendin's late challenge caught a Devoto club social's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Balendin helped the player get up and apologised. Mariano Balendin hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Devoto club social's Oscar Acevedo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Devoto club social's Tomás Bertran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Devoto club social from getting a goal against them. C. A. Potrero's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
