Spectators: 7511 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) Velez Sarsfield's Sergio Caitano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the match, Willem Migneault notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon. Uriel Raymon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marian Anderjoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Caitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Zelg FC got a freekick which was hit by Philippe Vehma. Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualtiero Nacht in the 21st minute of play. Marian Anderjoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Danel in the 24th minute of the match. Uriel Raymon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Philippe Vehma went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the game, Thimotheus Nolle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zelg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velez Sarsfield the free kick. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thimotheus Nolle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marian Anderjoli acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sebastian Bidun. Willem Migneault scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uriel Raymon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marian Anderjoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Marcones in the 39th minute. Benicio Danel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Marian Anderjoli made a huge save. Uriel Raymon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Philippe Vehma went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gualtiero Nacht made the kick off in the second half. Sergio Caitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Anderjoli having to interfere. Uriel Raymon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualtiero Nacht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Lizer hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Zelg FC's Gilberto Theissl got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Philippe Vehma notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon. In the 85th minute Eugene Mullis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philippe Vehma hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Xavier Kirchner charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Kirchner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the final whistle sounded Zelg FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Velez Sarsfield.
