In the 8th match minute, Ekzema F.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Cordeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesus Guillelmo's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Sílvio Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Guillelmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Márcio de Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ekzema F.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Furia Albiceleste the free kick. After 16 played minutes Ekzema F.V. got a freekick which was hit by Márcio de Mendonça. If Nemesio Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Tróia in the 26th minute of play forced Furia Albiceleste's goalkeeper Godofredo Berto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Samuca Tróia made a precise shot to the right of Godofredo Berto. Furia Albiceleste's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Claudinei Arantes struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Godofredo Berto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ekzema F.V.. Godofredo Berto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Tróia in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Godofredo Berto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio de Mendonça in the 54th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maicon Linhares during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute, Maicon Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Jonatan Osmundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 64 played minutes Furia Albiceleste got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Baladi. The supporters of Furia Albiceleste booed when Ekzema F.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godofredo Berto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Tróia in the 88th minute of play. Furia Albiceleste's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ekzema F.V. had won, even though Furia Albiceleste had held more of the ball.
