Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gil Motta kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Schmidt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gesteira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THE CLUB the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Gesteira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. When Jonas Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gesteira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Veloso couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Veloso during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonas Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Volodya Latev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The THE CLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mirolyub Rusanov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Gabriel Mesquita in the 15th minute. Wellington Barbosa came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by THE CLUB's Ventzislav Gerginov. But to his dismay, Ventzislav Gerginov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mirolyub Rusanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Meireles in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Nencho Nanyov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the THE CLUB and the Gesteira players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to THE CLUB getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nencho Nanyov hit a great ball. Marquinhos Schmidt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mirolyub Rusanov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Gil Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mirolyub Rusanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mirolyub Rusanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Motta in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Denílson Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gesteira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THE CLUB the free kick. The supporters of THE CLUB booed when Gesteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes Gesteira got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Schmidt. After 38 minutes of play, THE CLUB's Nano Ginev made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wellington Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inácio Penha's late challenge caught a THE CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Penha helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gesteira getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Inácio Penha hit a great ball. After the first half THE CLUB were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
62 minutes into the match, Gesteira's goal looked a bit too open when Volodya Latev came free, but Wellington Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Veloso scored 1-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mirolyub Rusanov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiago Gabriel Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mirolyub Rusanov having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Gesteira's goal looked a bit too open when Volodya Latev came free, but Wellington Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 played minutes Gesteira got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Penha. After a defensive mix-up in Gesteira's zone, Nano Ginev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Barbosa came out of the goal and Nano Ginev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute Yanaki Karaganchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yanaki Karaganchev got free with Wellington Barbosa in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
