Johnny Larsen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. 3 minutes into the game, one of Moorefield AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Moorefield AFC:s Freddie Daniel showed great skill when he stopped Jaime Rufo:s penalty. Moorefield AFC's Freddie Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Barros in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute Remi Manzanal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Remi Manzanal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddie Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Remi Manzanal got a free kick in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Orlando Mundaca during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Orlando Mundaca. After 26 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Carlos José Angulo. Virgil Gaines who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Siluna Hevia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Freddie Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Barros in the 29th minute of play. Freddie Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemencín Varas in the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Moorefield AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Emanuel Hawley hit a great ball. Freddie Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remi Manzanal in the 32nd minute of play. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Carlos José Angulo suffered a concussion after 34 minutes and had to leave the field. Virgil Gaines charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgil Gaines the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Freddie Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Barros in the 41st minute of play. After 44 minutes of play Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Hugo Orlando Mundaca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Hugo Orlando Mundaca kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The Moorefield AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Deportes Santa Cruz were winning 0-1.

51 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Clemencín Varas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddie Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Moorefield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Rufo came free, but Freddie Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emanuel Hawley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siluna Hevia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Gaines in the 64th minute of play. After 68th play minutes Clemencín Varas shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Freddie Daniel and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 73rd minute, Val Lowery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Emanuel Hawley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moorefield AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Emanuel Hawley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moorefield AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Hawley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siluna Hevia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute of the match, Clemencín Varas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Freddie Daniel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 90 minutes Moorefield AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernán Nancupel who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Teodosio Pimentel getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Deportes Santa Cruz walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
