The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Jaime Rufo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kazimierz Gardocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Clemencín Varas got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute, CJ Madura sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and INTER Sosnowiec's Kazimierz Gardocki didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Clemente Barros got a free kick in the 12th minute. A collision led to INTER Sosnowiec getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jacek Majkowski hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Jaime Rufo made a precise shot to the right of Kazimierz Gardocki. INTER Sosnowiec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemencín Varas in the 19th minute of play forced INTER Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Kazimierz Gardocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafal Cempa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remi Manzanal hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Siluna Hevia made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Kajetan Dlugi sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Jacek Majkowski came free, but Siluna Hevia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes, Aurelio Antonioletti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportes Santa Cruz and the INTER Sosnowiec players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Aurelio Antonioletti hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, INTER Sosnowiec's Barnaba Gendolla broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Siluna Hevia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Dlugi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemencín Varas charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clemencín Varas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half Club Deportes Santa Cruz were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of INTER Sosnowiec booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remi Manzanal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siluna Hevia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kajetan Dlugi's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Kazimierz Gardocki successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. During the 63rd minute of the match Lech Luty completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lech Luty a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to INTER Sosnowiec getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lech Luty hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, INTER Sosnowiec's Lech Luty got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute, INTER Sosnowiec's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jaime Rufo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rafal Cempa might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siluna Hevia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafal Cempa ran back to his position shaking his head. Kazimierz Gardocki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remi Manzanal went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute, Patryk Bykowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemencín Varas got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Clemencín Varas hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Siluna Hevia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafal Cempa in the 93rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Deportes Santa Cruz walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
