To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Guido Oriol notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Loures's Nicolas Vilalobos. Nicolas Vilalobos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AC LeX Luthor's Guido Oriol got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Salgueiro's late challenge caught a AC LeX Luthor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Salgueiro helped the player get up and apologised. 24 minutes into the match, Loures's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Oriol came free, but Nicolas Vilalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AC LeX Luthor booed when Loures was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Guido Oriol sped through Loures's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolas Vilalobos. When Guido Oriol came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the AC LeX Luthor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Oriol couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Guido Oriol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Vilalobos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. After the first half AC LeX Luthor were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norberto Barbosa made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Oriol got free with Nicolas Vilalobos in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Vilalobos came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by AC LeX Luthor's Rodrigo Paublo. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Paublo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Barbosa in the 86th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Albino Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Vilalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Paublo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Daniel Fiúza hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When Saul Txatxu fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC LeX Luthor's protests and gave Saul Txatxu a yellow card for diving instead. Saul Txatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. AC LeX Luthor's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
