Rubens Viana took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsenio Aballe. Arsenio Aballe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Julio-César Goacher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® from getting a goal against them. Stone City's Serafin Calixto got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rubens Viana fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s protests and gave Rubens Viana a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Viana. In the 37th minute Paulo Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stone City's goalkeeper Arsenio Aballe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arsenio Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Botelho in the 42nd minute of play. When Fernan Galo fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stone City's protests and gave Fernan Galo a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Stone City got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Galo. Thanks to some nice moves Serafin Calixto could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Julio-César Goacher however easily saved by the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Paulo Botelho made the kick off in the second half. Arsenio Aballe was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Paulo Botelho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo Botelho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. If Walter Casagrande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Paulo Botelho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arsenio Aballe. Paulo Botelho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Paulo Botelho had several of the Stone City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Arsenio Aballe as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 73 played minutes Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Zaga. In the 74th minute, Sergio Lucian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th match minute, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes in the game, Paulo Botelho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arsenio Aballe having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Paulo Botelho took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Arsenio Aballe to make any attempt to save it. When Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Nildo Cruz in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stone City's goalie prevented a goal. Arsenio Aballe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubens Viana in the 87th minute. Arsenio Aballe made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Hudson Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. After 88 played minutes Stone City got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Galo. Arsenio Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Botelho in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Stone City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Duardo to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stone City throughout the match.
