Spectators: 7468 (Terracing: 5602, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mitch Hollandts kicked off to start the match. Nechifor Oargă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mitch Hollandts's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Iordache Tutuianu hit a great ball. Nechifor Oargă came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Lions United's Jorg Coenens. But to his dismay, Jorg Coenens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Mitch Hollandts sped through FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nechifor Oargă. Nechifor Oargă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mitch Hollandtss short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Nechifor Oargă to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 15th minute, Iordache Tutuianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Mitch Hollandts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Oargă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Calstermans in the 21st minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Nechifor Oargă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacky Valkeneers during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Lions United got a freekick which was hit by Jacky Valkeneers. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Mitch Hollandts put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nechifor Oargă. Matias Calstermans hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mitch Hollandts in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nechifor Oargă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Mitch Hollandts sped through FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nechifor Oargă. Guy Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Oargă having to interfere. Nechifor Oargă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Calstermans, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 39th match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Tutuianu to maneuver through the defense. Nechifor Oargă was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mitch Hollandts showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 7-0 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

Eric Drăgan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Lions United's Matias Calstermans got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Mitch Hollandts sped through FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nechifor Oargă. But to his dismay, Gunter Van Bets quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. When the referee ended the match the Lions United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
