If Nicolae Manafu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Matias Calstermans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lions United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Gabriel Beșliu took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Izak Capellemans to make any attempt to save it. Matias Calstermans scored 1-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petre Vătăşel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorg Coenens, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Petre Vătăşel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guy Cox went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute, Mitch Hollandts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lions United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. A collision led to Lions United getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dany-Adams Gijselinckx hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lions United's zone, Iustin Iorda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Izak Capellemans came out of the goal and Iustin Iorda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Izak Capellemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Iorda, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Lions United's Tommi Uytebroeck got a free kick in the 40th minute. Izak Capellemans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolae Manafu in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute, Gunter Van Bets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mitch Hollandts to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Matias Calstermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Vătăşel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alin Mutu's late challenge caught a Lions United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alin Mutu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Alin Mutu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gunter Van Bets hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th match minute, Tornadele Siret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Beșliu to maneuver through the defense. Mitch Hollandts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 played minutes Tornadele Siret got a freekick which was hit by Alin Mutu. Izak Capellemans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Beșliu's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Guy Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Petre Vătăşel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Tornadele Siret got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Mihălțan. When Ioan Culcer fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tornadele Siret's protests and gave Ioan Culcer a yellow card for diving instead. Ioan Culcer hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lions United's Gunter Van Bets got a free kick in the 79th minute. Jacky Valkeneers's late challenge caught a Tornadele Siret's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacky Valkeneers helped the player get up and apologised. Tornadele Siret made a substitution. Gigel Bujor replaced Sergiu Răţescu. Jacky Valkeneers hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Izak Capellemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Beșliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Gabriel Beșliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izak Capellemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Izak Capellemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Beșliu in the 94th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Lions United's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Paulică came free, but Izak Capellemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Lions United were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Tornadele Siret side.
