The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Leite in the 7th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Ademir Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Sbârcea in the 12th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Horaţiu Hobjilă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia and the Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Wágner Cunha hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's goal looked a bit too open when Gavril Niculiță came free, but Ademir Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademir Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavril Niculiță in the 26th minute of the match. When Luiz Guilherme Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's protests and gave Luiz Guilherme Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademir Mello came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Liviu Sbârcea. But to his dismay, Liviu Sbârcea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Falcão got free with Karl-Ove Andersson in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luisão Barreto hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liviu Sbârcea to make the kick off. If Davi Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iordache Tutuianu got a free kick in the 60th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Liviu Sbârcea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ademir Mello. That made the score 0-2 after 66 minutes of play. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Karl-Ove Andersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Leite in the 71st minute of play. When Horaţiu Hobjilă was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. In the 79th match minute, Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edgar Drăgan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iordache Tutuianu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Marcel Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Maranhense during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER got a freekick which was hit by Ian Maranhense. The Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
