Spectators: 7637 (Terracing: 5729, Seating: 1756, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diego Balendin started the match with the kick off. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Mendoza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Bide cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jarrett Rosenberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jarrett Rosenberg came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo's Flavio Lucila. But to his dismay, Flavio Lucila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 13 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Lucila came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Abad, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Hart didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes in the game Arnaldo Hurko got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Cavazos in the 26th minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Anier Oidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrett Rosenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Lucila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnaldo Bide took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarrett Rosenberg. Jarrett Rosenberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Bide in the 36th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Lucila in the 44th minute of play. Jarrett Rosenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Bide in the 45th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicky Cavazos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Belmiro in the 52nd minute of the match. When San Lorenzo's Arnaldo Hurko in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cosmos Soccer Club's goalie prevented a goal. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Lucila in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Diego Balendin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cosmos Soccer Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arnaldo Hurko was slow to take the kick. During this time San Lorenzo's players had a chance to rest. Arnaldo Hurko made a great header on San Lorenzo's corner, it was just that Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg managed to reach the ball for a save. After 66 minutes of play, San Lorenzo's Arnaldo Bide made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarrett Rosenberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Abad in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Victor Belmiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Lorenzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Nicky Cavazos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Cipriano Abad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Brian Mendoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicky Cavazos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Lucila in the 91st minute of play. Anier Oidor made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Nicky Cavazos sent off a good shot on target. San Lorenzo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
