In the 4th minute, Diego Di Massimo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristoforo Balboni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Zé Paulo Fernandez made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caco Corrêa in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Africano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Lara got a free kick in the 14th minute. Cristoforo Balboni received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zé Paulo Fernandez came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristoforo Balboni slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Fausto Africano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caco Corrêa in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Africano saved CLC Winter from getting behind. CLC Winter's Fausto Africano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Corrêa in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match Werneck FC - DMZ got a corner. CLC Winter's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Paulo Lara ran over to the corner to take the kick. Breno Zonta was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Werneck FC - DMZ's Caco Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 minutes of play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Caco Corrêa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Africano was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of CLC Winter booed when Werneck FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristoforo Balboni succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 37th playminute. Diego Di Massimo scored 3-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Paulo Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fausto Africano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Corrêa in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Genílson Cardozo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Dario Ceccarelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Paulo Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Concetto Ferraris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Zé Paulo Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Werneck FC - DMZ defense, Diego Di Massimo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Fernandez. The Werneck FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Paulo Fernandez should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgílio Toledo during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zé Paulo Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Di Massimo went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the match, CLC Winter's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Corrêa came free, but Fausto Africano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Concetto Ferraris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Balboni in the 89th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Armin Mazza came free, but Zé Paulo Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Concetto Ferraris managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLC Winter's supporters rose to their feet, but Concetto Ferraris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CLC Winter fans cheered their team off the field, for while Werneck FC - DMZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
