Godfredo Etxatxu's late challenge caught a El Canalla de Chicago's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodoro Navarro to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Altos Gatos FC's zone, Clark Lindsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Millan came out of the goal and Clark Lindsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgardo Cordarrel during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rudolph Thurman scored 1-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rosendo Millan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
