COSQUIN SFC's Gregorio Diagur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save COSQUIN SFC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Gregorio Diagur threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrew Thomas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Clapham Comets F.C. were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after COSQUIN SFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andrew Thomas took the corner. The corner led Clapham Comets F.C.'s Andrew Thomas to fire away a dangerous shot which Gregorio Diagur despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julián Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Cross having to interfere. Sebastian Cross came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by COSQUIN SFC's Julián Alvarez. But to his dismay, Julián Alvarez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Andrew Thomas put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gregorio Diagur. In the 29th match minute, COSQUIN SFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremías Ledesma to maneuver through the defense. Gregorio Diagur made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Brad Symons sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Borja in the 32nd minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Sebastian Cross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Rosický charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tom Rosický the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Tom Rosický hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Borja came free, but Sebastian Cross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 played minutes Clapham Comets F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Larry Butt. In the 38th minute, Larry Butt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Cross came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by COSQUIN SFC's Maxi Meza. But to his dismay, Maxi Meza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 46 minutes into the match, COSQUIN SFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Le Tissier came free, but Gregorio Diagur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Cross showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julián Alvarez in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrew Thomas to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Borja got free with Sebastian Cross in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregorio Diagur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Thomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Cross showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Borja in the 61st minute of the match. With a little luck, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Sebastian Cross got control of the ball when Maxi Meza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerry Roebuck hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Julián Alvarez made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Cross. Clapham Comets F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. In the 69th match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mick Bartrup to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Cross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Borja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. COSQUIN SFC's Gregorio Diagur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brad Symons in the 73rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julián Alvarez got free with Sebastian Cross in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregorio Diagur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Thomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Maxi Meza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Julián Alvarez made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Cross. Clapham Comets F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The supporters of COSQUIN SFC booed when Clapham Comets F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mick Bartrup didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute of the match Paulino Juvenal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastian Cross showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, COSQUIN SFC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Thomas came free, but Gregorio Diagur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregorio Diagur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Symons in the 94th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Tom Rosický got a free kick in the 95th minute. The COSQUIN SFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing COSQUIN SFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
