The supporters of COSQUIN SFC booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Mitchell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Darwin Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Diagur showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Santos FC's Jim Mitchell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Borja in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Borja came free, but Jim Mitchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rusty Little fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Diagur having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Leon Burr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over COSQUIN SFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Santos FC throughout the match.
