With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Mitchell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lawrence Smart to maneuver through the defense. Constantin Maniu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jim Mitchell. Santos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Lawrence Smart got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Mihăiţă Voina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, YR☆ Rossoneri™'s goal looked a bit too open when Rusty Little came free, but Florin Suşu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florin Suşu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamar Burton, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Rusty Little who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Florin Suşu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rusty Little scored 1-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florin Suşu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. YR☆ Rossoneri™'s Florin Suşu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamar Burton in the 41st minute of play. Mihăiţă Voina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jim Mitchell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
