Alfredão Castro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebastian Cross came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredão Castro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Evaristo Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Le Tissier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 minutes of play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Sammy Le Tissier made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaristo Siqueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evaristo Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerry Roebuck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Gerry Roebuck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clapham Comets F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Evaristo Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brad Symons in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Roebuck in the 33rd minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Evaristo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Thomas came free, but Evaristo Siqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evaristo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Thomas in the 36th minute of the match. Evaristo Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calum Frost, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Floripa Lions FSCMZ getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Hélder Prestes hit a great ball. Evaristo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Symons in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredão Castro was the one to do the kick off. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Alfredão Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute Brad Symons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Larry Butt during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes Clapham Comets F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Larry Butt. Evaristo Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Symons, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute Brad Symons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Siqueira was a little too slow when Brad Symons got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-4. Brad Symons succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 80th playminute. After having played for 82 minutes, Andrew Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clapham Comets F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrew Thomas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sammy Le Tissier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Evaristo Siqueira made a huge save. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Evaristo Siqueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Floripa Lions FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Evaristo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brad Symons in the 92nd minute of the match. Evaristo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerry Roebuck in the 95th minute of play. With a little luck, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Evaristo Siqueira got control of the ball when Andrew Thomas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Floripa Lions FSCMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Clapham Comets F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
