Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Andrew Thomas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Brad Symons recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Evaristo Siqueira. Brad Symons showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Symons in the 7th minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Evaristo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Symons in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Floripa Lions FSCMZ booed when Clapham Comets F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amauri Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Evaristo Siqueira made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Andrew Thomas sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Andrew Thomas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evaristo Siqueira. The goal made the score 2-0. Thomás Gaspar's late challenge caught a Clapham Comets F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomás Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Brad Symons ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Evaristo Siqueira. Evaristo Siqueira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredão Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Thomas to maneuver through the defense. Brad Symons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredão Castro got free with Sebastian Cross in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evaristo Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Symons, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donny Watson to maneuver through the defense. Evaristo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Le Tissier in the 74th minute of the match. The referee ignored Clapham Comets F.C.'s protests and gave José Reyes a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee ended the match the Clapham Comets F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
