The referee felt a red card was in order, 5 minutes into the game, when Carmelo Abeita put in a rough tackle. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for COSQUIN SFC! After a rather tough play, COSQUIN SFC's Miguel Borja got a free kick in the 7th minute. Gregorio Diagur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrew Thomas's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Jeronimo Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Rosický to maneuver through the defense. Gregorio Diagur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrew Thomas's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Brad Symons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Diagur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when COSQUIN SFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Tyler Woodcock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clapham Comets F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave COSQUIN SFC the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyler Woodcock to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Jeronimo Gil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The COSQUIN SFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Sammy Le Tissier took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregorio Diagur. Gregorio Diagur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Brad Symons had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregorio Diagur. COSQUIN SFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brad Symons was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Gregorio Diagur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Symons in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Clapham Comets F.C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. José Reyes hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 minutes of play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Brad Symons made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregorio Diagur was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Symons in the 59th minute of play forced COSQUIN SFC's goalkeeper Gregorio Diagur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Brad Symons came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Clapham Comets F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brad Symons couldn't finish the play. With his leg Gregorio Diagur managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Clapham Comets F.C.'s Sammy Le Tissier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Andrew Thomas got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, COSQUIN SFC's goalkeeper Gregorio Diagur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brad Symons. 81 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Gil came free, but Sebastian Cross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Cross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeronimo Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, COSQUIN SFC's goalkeeper Gregorio Diagur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brad Symons. The audience was convinced that Brad Symons's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregorio Diagur was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90th minute, Jeronimo Gil made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Cross. Clapham Comets F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. COSQUIN SFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
