An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Donatello in the 14th minute of play forced AQUILES's goalkeeper Reynaldo Jenaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ramiro Lazcano fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AQUILES's protests and gave Ramiro Lazcano a yellow card for diving instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Osvaldo Ermano struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ernesto Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AQUILES. 94 minutes into the match, Remigio Leoncio notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Cambotinha EC's Ernesto Montenegro. Ernesto Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AQUILES's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
