The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Romero to make the kick off. Aurelio Weather fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Diniz having to interfere. Scofield's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
