Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Teodor Lucaci made the kick off which started today's match. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waclaw Marud in the 6th minute of play. Teodor Lucaci's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Radomir Bienienda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 10 minutes, Teodor Lucaci made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Joga Bonito's Radomir Bienienda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodor Lucacis short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Radomir Bienienda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ernest Eftimescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sylwester Andrychowski kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Ziemowit Brzonkala came free, but Tiberiu Mischie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Politehnica Timisoara's Mădălin Băcila slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Radomir Bienienda. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waclaw Marud in the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Mădălin Băcila managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Politehnica Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Mădălin Băcila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radomir Bienienda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, Waclaw Marud notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie. Tiberiu Mischie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 43 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Teodor Lucaci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radomir Bienienda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Strugure in the 53rd minute of play forced Joga Bonito's goalkeeper Radomir Bienienda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Moise Antoniu suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Lucrețiu Manolache was substituted for Moise Antoniu. A collision led to Joga Bonito getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ziemowit Brzonkala hit a great ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Teodor Lucaci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joga Bonito's Radomir Bienienda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Joga Bonito's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Lucaci came free, but Radomir Bienienda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiberiu Mischie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waclaw Marud, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 61 minutes into the game, Nicu Isăilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joga Bonito the free kick. If Costică Josan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludomir Lisewski got free with Tiberiu Mischie in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waclaw Marud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Joga Bonito's zone, Costică Josan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radomir Bienienda came out of the goal and Costică Josan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernest Eftimescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radomir Bienienda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Strugure in the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Joga Bonito's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Lucaci came free, but Radomir Bienienda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waclaw Marud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Tiberiu Mischie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludomir Lisewski. 88 minutes into the match, Joga Bonito's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Strugure came free, but Radomir Bienienda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radomir Bienienda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Lucaci in the 94th minute of play.
