Nichifor Borogeanu struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Thorkild Plougmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Politehnica Timisoara. In the 5th minute, Costică Josan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 8 minutes, Emanuel Strugure mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Politehnica Timisoara and the Sletteenge players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Emanuel Strugure hit a great ball. Thorfinn Birkvad charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thorfinn Birkvad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Sletteenge got a freekick which was hit by Thorfinn Birkvad. In the 16th minute Nichifor Borogeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorkild Plougmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thorkild Plougmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costică Josan's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Askild Farquhar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sletteenge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Askild Farquhar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Askild Farquhar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Absalon Domini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Tiberiu Mischie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Nichifor Borogeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Costică Josan sped through Sletteenge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thorkild Plougmann. 33 minutes into the match, Sletteenge's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Josan came free, but Thorkild Plougmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiberiu Mischie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Remke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Sletteenge's Askild Farquhar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. Thorkild Plougmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Josan, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Costică Josan was the one to do the kick off. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Askild Farquhar in the 52nd minute of play. Thorkild Plougmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nichifor Borogeanu in the 55th minute of play. Dorin Lungu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Askild Farquhar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sletteenge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Askild Farquhar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiberiu Mischie came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Sletteenge's Absalon Domini. But to his dismay, Absalon Domini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Absalon Domini in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Sletteenge booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Strugure didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valther Fønsskov in the 71st minute of the match. With a little luck, Sletteenge's Thorkild Plougmann got control of the ball when Costică Josan tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costică Josan in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thorkild Plougmann saved Sletteenge from getting behind. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Askild Farquhar in the 79th minute of the match. Nichifor Borogeanu's late challenge caught a Sletteenge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nichifor Borogeanu helped the player get up and apologised. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Absalon Domini in the 81st minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Askild Farquhar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiberiu Mischie was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Absalon Domini in the 94th minute of the match. Askild Farquhar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Absalon Domini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sletteenge walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
