After 48 played minutes Juan Romero could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 3-1 into the left cross. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Romero to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Scofield's zone, Victorino Garci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Pello came out of the goal and Victorino Garci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute Juan Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Nesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislao Nesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Maxin in the 58th minute of play. Domingos Donio kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Camilo Maxin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 98 played minutes Scofield got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Viviano. Fabian Pello acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Victorino Garci. Scofield's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
