Ronaldão Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cebo Morejon in the 15th minute of play. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Ronaldão Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA from getting a goal against them. The supporters of FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA booed when Club Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordarrol Tama didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rubinho Perez came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Perez couldn't finish the play. After taking down the ball on Club Olimpia's corner Cibran Anduiza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ronaldão Souza quite easily take care of the ball. In the 46th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niva Azpiazu to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Thiago Miranda got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Cibran Anduiza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Souza having to interfere. Jose-Antonio Nuncibay struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ronaldão Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Olimpia. In the 60th match minute, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Cordarrol Tama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cebo Morejon scored 1-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronaldão Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Francisco Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Cebo Morejon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Souza having to interfere. After 75 played minutes FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Barbosa. Club Olimpia's Cebo Morejon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cebo Morejon in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldão Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cebo Morejon kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Jose-Antonio Nuncibay might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldão Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose-Antonio Nuncibay ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Rubinho Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmacio Caldueño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Club Olimpia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
