When Ali Al Towatan fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golden Tigers's protests and gave Ali Al Towatan a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by 卓泉迅 in the 8th minute of play forced Golden Tigers's goalkeeper José Alberto Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 沈永棋 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. José Alberto Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes 卓泉迅 rounded Golden Tigers's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, 卓泉迅 notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Golden Tigers's José Alberto Chilavert. José Alberto Chilavert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Golden Tigers's goalkeeper couldn't reach when 莫松耀 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. José Alberto Chilavert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 卓泉迅 went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the match, Golden Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when 莫松耀 came free, but José Alberto Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Golden Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Khalefa Al Hadad. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, 莫松耀 took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for José Alberto Chilavert to make any attempt to save it. When 卓泉迅 came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the 常州飞鹰俱乐部队 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 卓泉迅 couldn't finish the play. José Alberto Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 莫松耀 in the 42nd minute of play. If Hakem Al Attar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, José Alberto Chilavert successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Fawaz Boland hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, 卓泉迅 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
