The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. C. A. Atlanta's Arnoldo Kismi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Harriet in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Tomás Checa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Pucho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Edgardo Botello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Eli went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Teodoro Boniel fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Atlanta's protests and gave Teodoro Boniel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, C. A. Atlanta's Teodoro Boniel got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 21 minutes, Danilo Paz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Pucho and the C. A. Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Deportivo Pucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Paz to maneuver through the defense. When Benicio Librado fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Pucho's protests and gave Benicio Librado a yellow card for diving instead. Cleto Ferran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Botello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Cleto Ferran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Desiderio Ermengol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Pucho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desiderio Ermengol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Roman Lehior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute of the match, Jonathan Eli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgardo Botello was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Checa to make the kick off. Desiderio Ermengol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Tomás Checa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnoldo Kismi. C. A. Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás Checa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Cleto Ferran succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. 60 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pucho's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Ferran came free, but Edgardo Botello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, C. A. Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Ferran to maneuver through the defense. If Jonathan Eli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Atlanta's zone, Desiderio Ermengol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnoldo Kismi came out of the goal and Desiderio Ermengol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Desiderio Ermengol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Kismi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, C. A. Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Besart Toto to maneuver through the defense. After 77 minutes of play, C. A. Atlanta's Cleto Ferran made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgardo Botello was left in no man's land by his defense there! When C. A. After taking down the ball on Deportivo Pucho's corner Desiderio Ermengol fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnoldo Kismi quite easily take care of the ball. After 90 played minutes Deportivo Pucho got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Checa. Deportivo Pucho's Edgardo Botello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Eli in the 93rd minute of play. Roman Lehior's late challenge caught a C. A. Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Lehior helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Deportivo Pucho got a freekick which was hit by Roman Lehior.
