Spectators: 7598 (Terracing: 5700, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfonso Palban started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Francisco Lacunza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Chillán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Franja Dorada's Venancio Hodei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Luis Alfaro in the 6th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Inter de Chillán's Francisco Lacunza made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Venancio Hodei was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Goito came free, but Elodio Angellotti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Francisco Lacunza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Venancio Hodei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Moises Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the game, Moises Napier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Franja Dorada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de Chillán the free kick. In the 33rd minute of the match Francisco Lacunza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Venancio Hodei skillfully saved the ball. Venancio Hodei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Luis Alfaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Luis Alfaro in the 36th minute of play forced Franja Dorada's goalkeeper Venancio Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barni San Martín's late challenge caught a Franja Dorada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barni San Martín helped the player get up and apologised. Gustavo Goito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Elodio Angellotti made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Franja Dorada's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Lacunza came free, but Venancio Hodei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Inter de Chillán's Buenaventura Durruti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Venancio Hodei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Juan Luis Alfaro made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Buenaventura Durruti. In the 52nd minute of the match Isidro Cordeal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elodio Angellotti skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Franja Dorada's Moises Napier got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Lisandro Remicio fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Franja Dorada's protests and gave Lisandro Remicio a yellow card for diving instead. 54 minutes into the game, one of Franja Dorada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Franja Dorada:s Venancio Hodei showed great skill when he stopped Francisco Lacunza:s penalty. When Alfonso Palban fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Franja Dorada's protests and gave Alfonso Palban a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Alfonso Palban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Franja Dorada getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Moises Napier hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Juan Luis Alfaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Hodei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan Luis Alfaro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Venancio Hodei. That made the score 0-4 in the 64 minute of play. Venancio Hodei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Lacunza in the 69th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Franja Dorada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Cordeal to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Barni San Martín reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Venancio Hodei. The goal made the score 0-5. Elodio Angellotti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Napier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Buenaventura Durruti to maneuver through the defense. Venancio Hodei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Lacunza in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Franja Dorada's Venancio Hodei got control of the ball when Francisco Lacunza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venancio Hodei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barni San Martín in the 90th minute of the match. Juan Pablo Toro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Venancio Hodei. Franja Dorada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match was over Inter de Chillán could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Franja Dorada throughout the match.
