The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aaron Leppilampi hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Osmar Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izaltina FAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osmar Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denílson Faria hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Kultapossukerho's Kalevi Kiprusoff tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Alfred Ruohonen came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Kultapossukerho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Ruohonen couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Pietari Jaakkola came free, but Dráusio Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pietari Jaakkola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dráusio Oliveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Pietari Jaakkola slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. Izaltina FAD's Dráusio Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Izaltina FAD from getting a goal against them. Arto Hytönen came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dráusio Oliveira could save by the left post. Denílson Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Izaltina FAD's Rafael Nunes suffered a torn muscle in his knee after 36 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Alfred Ruohonen's late challenge caught a Izaltina FAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfred Ruohonen helped the player get up and apologised. Izaltina FAD made a substitution. Luiz Alcântara replaced Rafael Nunes. The supporters of Izaltina FAD booed when Kultapossukerho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Ruohonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pietari Jaakkola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 57th minute Pietari Jaakkola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Ruohonen in the 60th minute of play. Dráusio Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arto Hytönen in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Donato in the 88th minute of play forced Kultapossukerho's goalkeeper Sulo Lahtela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráusio Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arto Hytönen in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Kultapossukerho were the better team. Kultapossukerho's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
