Remo Steingher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Alb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remo Steingher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Alb, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Carpathian Wolves's Nicu Steriopol got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Remo Steingher. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Alb in the 17th minute of play forced Chancy Olympique's goalkeeper Remo Steingher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Steingher was a little too slow when Ionică Alb got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 3-0. 21 minutes into the game, Ionică Alb recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Remo Steingher. Ionică Alb showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. When Nichifor Ogică came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Carpathian Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nichifor Ogică couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Carpathian Wolves's Codrin Aalexoaiei slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Remo Steingher. That made the score 5-0 after 30 minutes of play. When Nichifor Ogică fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carpathian Wolves's protests and gave Nichifor Ogică a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Carpathian Wolves's Nichifor Ogică got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Sabin Ciomag left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carpathian Wolves fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 38th match minute, Chancy Olympique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claude Zurbuchen to maneuver through the defense. Codrin Aalexoaiei's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Remo Steingher firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Codrin Aalexoaiei came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Carpathian Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codrin Aalexoaiei couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Chancy Olympique's zone, Ionică Alb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remo Steingher came out of the goal and Ionică Alb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remo Steingher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Alb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 48 minutes of play, Carpathian Wolves's Ionică Alb made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remo Steingher was left in no man's land by his defense there!
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabor Helfenstein to make the kick off. Remo Steingher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nichifor Ogică went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Roger Duggan's late challenge caught a Chancy Olympique's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Duggan helped the player get up and apologised. Roger Duggan kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Gabor Helfenstein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Nicodim Arghirescu made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Chancy Olympique's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Alb came free, but Remo Steingher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Codrin Aalexoaiei made a precise shot to the right of Remo Steingher. Chancy Olympique's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Gabor Helfenstein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Nicodim Arghirescu made a huge save. If Claude Zurbuchen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Codrin Aalexoaiei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpathian Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Codrin Aalexoaiei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remo Steingher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Alb in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute Ionică Alb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Steingher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Carpathian Wolves's Ionică Alb nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remo Steingher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. 87 minutes into the game, Zelimir Marty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chancy Olympique's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carpathian Wolves the free kick. After a rather tough play, Chancy Olympique's Zelimir Marty got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Codrin Aalexoaiei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Remo Steingher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Codrin Aalexoaiei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionică Alb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Steingher having to interfere. Nichifor Ogică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Codrin Aalexoaiei took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remo Steingher. Remo Steingher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Carpathian Wolves fully deserved thier win.
