Club Sportivo Quilmes were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Alex Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vinicio Acuña took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Vinicio Acuña got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ion Chificeac quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 13th minute, Horacio Nisio made a precise shot to the right of Ion Chificeac. Alex Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vinicio Acuña struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ion Chificeac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Sportivo Quilmes. Ion Chificeac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Acuña in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Ulises Fidele sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ion Chificeac narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Quilmes's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Erosa came free, but Genaro Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
