The tension between the Palermo AFC and the Club Sportivo Quilmes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Horacio Nisio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Palermo AFC booed when Club Sportivo Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Acuña didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes Club Sportivo Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Barea. In the 34th minute of the match Teodosio Stanislao sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uriel Iratzeder skillfully saved the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Acuña came free, but Severino Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonides Barea hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Horacio Nisio came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Club Sportivo Quilmes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Nisio couldn't finish the play. Uriel Iratzeder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octavio Frascuelo in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Israel Odilon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 80 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Astudillo. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Vinicio Acuña got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute Israel Odilon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Iratzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Nisio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Octavio Frascuelo charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavio Frascuelo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Palermo AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Octavio Frascuelo hit a great ball. When the match was over Club Sportivo Quilmes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Palermo AFC throughout the match.
