Godofredo Gabon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Remo Steingher made a huge save. Remo Steingher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octavio Frascuelo went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Teodosio Stanislao took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Remo Steingher to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th minute, Jonas Courtemanche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodosio Stanislao, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 39th minute, Godofredo Gabon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Odilon in the 86th minute of play forced Chancy Olympique's goalkeeper Remo Steingher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
