The supporters of Club Sportivo Quilmes booed when Carpathian Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Alb didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Horacio Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 38 minutes of play, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Emanuel Valente made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicodim Arghirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute, Club Sportivo Quilmes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ionică Alb fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 48 minutes into the match, Horacio Nisio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicodim Arghirescu. Carpathian Wolves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Nisio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Nisio to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Horacio Nisio made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Nicodim Arghirescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. 75 minutes into the game, Ulises Fidele recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicodim Arghirescu. Ulises Fidele showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. After 83 played minutes Club Sportivo Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Barea. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Nicu Steriopol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpathian Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicu Steriopol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uriel Iratzeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85 played minutes Club Sportivo Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Basajaun. Carpathian Wolves's Nicodim Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Basajaun in the 89th minute of play. Nicodim Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Nisio in the 91st minute of play. In the 98th match minute, Carpathian Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Duggan to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Club Sportivo Quilmes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carpathian Wolves.
