The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amedeo Signoretti hit a great ball. Clóvis Corrêa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Daniele Del Prete was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gonzo Style f.c's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 20 DE SETEMBRO the free kick. The supporters of 20 DE SETEMBRO booed when Gonzo Style f.c was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Del Prete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmyr Borges made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Augusto Vieri sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the game, Wágner Miranda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Federico Marsilio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alessandro Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Walmyr Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Vieri. Walmyr Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Firmani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gonzo Style f.c's zone, Luiz Guilherme Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Marsilio came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Federico Marsilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Gonzo Style f.c's Alberto Firmani slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Walmyr Borges. That made the score 1-1 after 37 minutes of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme Cosme was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Marco Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Firmani in the 52nd minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Walmyr Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzo Style f.c's Federico Marsilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Souto in the 54th minute of play. If Luiz Guilherme Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Gonzo Style f.c's goalkeeper Federico Marsilio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Guilherme Cosme. In the 63rd minute of the match, Luiz Guilherme Cosme got a very nice opportunity to score, but Federico Marsilio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gonzo Style f.c's Daniele Del Prete got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Daniele Del Prete off the ground. In the 66th minute of the match, Luiz Guilherme Cosme got a very nice opportunity to score, but Federico Marsilio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Wágner Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. 20 DE SETEMBRO's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Marsilio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gonzo Style f.c getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alberto Firmani hit a great ball. Federico Marsilio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Guilherme Cosme went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.
