After 45 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Orlan. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Javier Markel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adrian Ospetsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Firmani in the 52nd minute of play. Damiano Mian kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Rolando Erasto fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de América's protests and gave Rolando Erasto a yellow card for diving instead. Adrian Ospetsu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Davide Zisser. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Javier Markel put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Federico Marsilio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Markel in the 71st minute of play forced Gonzo Style f.c's goalkeeper Federico Marsilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Davide Zisser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Ospetsu made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Augusto Vieri sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 88 minutes into the game, when Anselmo Orlan put in a rough tackle. In the 88th match minute, Estudiantes de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Orlan to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Ospetsu made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Davide Zisser sent off a good shot on target. After 91 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Javier Markel. Gonzo Style f.c's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
