An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Miranda in the 12th minute of play forced Gudhem's goalkeeper Sverker Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme Cosme was the one to do the kick off. Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Miranda in the 53rd minute of play. Billy Dahlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Walmyr Borges made a huge save. Luís Neiva took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sverker Lindgren. Sverker Lindgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 64 minutes into the game, Wágner Miranda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sverker Lindgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th minute, Luiz Guilherme Cosme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 20 DE SETEMBRO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Cosme in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Gudhem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Neiva came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sverker Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Gudhem defense, Luiz Guilherme Cosme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sverker Lindgren. The Gudhem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sverker Lindgren should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Billy Dahlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Gudhem's zone, Wágner Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sverker Lindgren came out of the goal and Wágner Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 DE SETEMBRO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
