After a rather tough play, Gudhem's Herbert Lagerberg got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 11 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Rito. In the 13th minute Herbert Lagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes, Ildefonso Balesio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes de América and the Gudhem players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ildefonso Balesio hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Balesio in the 19th minute of play. Sverker Lindgren was a little too slow when Ildefonso Balesio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-11. Melchor Evarado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Sverker Lindgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernardo Ado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elvio Paublo got free with Sverker Lindgren in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Estudiantes de América played a much better game than Gudhem and deserved their victory. The Gudhem players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
